Killswitch Engaged by Battlecross and Menshevik in Belfast

AN AUDIENCE, pumped and primed by support acts Menshevik and Battlecross greeted headliners Killswitch Engage as returning heroes to a packed Limelight1 on Belfast's Ormeau Avenue on Thursday night (30th January). But that is only half the story.

Killswitch Engage kicked off their European tour in Dublin on 29th January and Belfast on 30th January. I was at the sold out show in Limelight 1, Belfast where Menshavik and Battlecross were the supporting bands. As you’ll know I don’t write reviews but here are a few videos to judge for yourself.

AS we warm-up for tomorrow night's (Wednesday, 29th January) pop/ska punk celebratory evening with Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake in Limelight1 it is a fair point to ask whether the whole pop punk schtick is relevant in 2014.

Having a former member of Black Sabbath in your line-up must be a big boost when it comes to doing promotion for a new album. Having a solid, quality product to deliver always helps too, no matter who you have in the band. Martiria have both and their new album “R-evolution” that is released through Rocksector Records on 10th February is well worth checking out.
