Most people will know Ryan Roxie as one of the guitarists in the Alice Cooper Band, but that is only one of many musical outlets for the talented Californian who now lives in Sweden. His band Casablanca have recently released their second album “Riding a Black Swan” and there are plans for further releases from Roxie 77 (R77). Ryan graciously agreed to answer a few questions for us just after completing a tour of Spain with Casablanca and a series of Gibson Guitar workshops in France.

FM return to Belfast on 1st April as support to Foreigner in The Waterfront Hall. Local support comes from the recently reformed No Hot Ashes. I spoke to FM lead singer Steve Overland on the 10th February to ask him a few questions about the gig, future plans for FM, the release of his new Overland album “Epic” and a few other things.

Battleaxe emerged from Sunderland in 1980 during the height of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement, releasing two albums before being hit by line-up changes that pushed the band out of the spotlight for a while. The band reformed in 2010 to play the Wacken Open Air Festival and work began on their third album. “Heavy Metal Sanctuary” is released by Steamhammer / SPV on February 24th
