Absolva release their second studio album “Anthems to the Dead” on Rocksector Records on 5th May. This follows the release of the live album and DVD “Beyond Live” last year. Their debut album “Flames of Justice” from 2012 has received a fair bit of play on the NI Rocks Shows and we’ve already featured tracks from the new album, so you can expect to hear more on future shows! It’s been said that the second album can be the most difficult for a band, but Absolva have definitely delivered the goods with “Anthems to the Dead”.

Avatar deliver a dark carnival of the apocalypse

IN the mid-20th Century writer Ray Bradbury published the seminal dark fantasy book, Something Wicked This Way Comes, about a carnival of nightmares - a novel only spoiled by its sickly sweet ending. Sweden's Avatar have no such sweet endings on their soon to be released album, Hail To The Apocalypse.
