“Drive” is the first album from multi-national band Mother Road. It is released on 26th May through the band’s own Road Songs label, with distribution being handled by AOR Heaven. Mother Road was founded in 2011 following a meeting between guitarist Chris Lyne (formerly of Soul Doctor) and American vocalist Keith Slack (Steelhouse Lane / Michael Schenker Group / Mudpie). Described in their press release as a Hard Rock Blues band, I have to admit that during my first listen to the album I did draw comparison to early Whitesnake on a number of occasions.
Outloud release their third album “Let’s Get Serious” through AOR Heaven on 26th May. The band can trace its roots back to Athens in 2004, though their first album “We’ll Rock You To Hell and Back Again” wasn’t released until 2009. Like most bands, there have been a series of line-up changes but Bob Katsionis (guitars and keyboards) and Chandler Mogel (vocals) have remained at the core throughout. Katsionis is probably best known as a member of Greek band Firewind, whilst Mogel from the USA is an exceptional singer who has appeared in a number of bands including Talon.
