The band West Bound recently released their debut album, “Volume 1”, through Frontiers Music. The front-man of the band is singer Chas West who has previously recorded with Resurrection Kings, Tango Down, Bonham etc and performed with bands such as Lynch Mob and Foreigner. This time, with West Bound, he is the driving force behind the band. I had the opportunity to chat with Chas via Skype on 12th March and we talked about the album, the band, his other projects and more.
That interview can be found on the Friday NI Rocks Show for 15th March and that Show is available on our MixCloud page - https://www.mixcloud.com/NIRocks/interview-with-chas-west-on-the-friday-ni-rocks-show-15th-march-2019/

American 80’s rockers Tora Tora have returned with their first album of new tracks in over 25 years and “Bastards of Beale” is at least as good as the band’s classic albums, and probably even better! The album was released on 22nd February by Frontiers Music and it features all four original members of the band. The first track to be released, “Rose of Jericho” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show back in December and “Silence the Sirens” was featured on the Show on 25th January.

German metal band Booze Control released their fourth album “Forgotten Lands” on 22nd February. This is their first album with Gates of Hell Records. The band formed in 2009 and all four founding members remain in the band, although their sound has evolved over time. I included the album’s title track on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 22nd February.

“Pulse” is the third album from British band Blood Red Saints and it was released on 22nd February on the AOR Heaven label. I’d interviewed singer Pete Godfrey on the Friday NI Rocks Show back in December 2015 when the band’s debut album was released. Only two of the original remembers remain but the band continues to deliver some great heavy/melodic rock tracks. I included “Message To God” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 8th March.
