The “NI Rocks Recommends” feature for September includes album releases by Allen/Olzon, Dead City Ruins, Marco Mendoza, House of Lords, Ginevra, Eva Under Fire, Kings of Mercia and The Dead Daisies.
A regular feature highlighting some of the best album releases each month. I don’t do album “reviews” – this is simply a personal recommendation to check out an album - just a few words about the albums that appeal to me and about the artists releasing them. These will also be albums from which I’ll have been playing tracks on the Friday NI Rocks Shows recently. This month it will include albums from Allen/Olzon, Dead City Ruins, Marco Mendoza, House of Lords, Ginevra, Eva Under Fire, Kings of Mercia, The Dead Daisies, Mitchell's Kiss of the Gypsy and Monster Truck.

Detroit band Eva Under Fire released a great album called “Love, Drugs & Misery” through Better Noise Music on 23rd September. I’ve had a copy of the album for about nine months and have been playing tracks by the band regularly for some time. With the album finally getting released I thought it would be good to have a chat with singer Eva Marie (Amanda Marie) about the band and the album. We chatted on 28th September 2022.
