Rick Ruhl, the lead singer from Tennessee based band Every Mother’s Nightmare, was my guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show in September 2017 just ahead of the band releasing “Grind”, their first new album in fifteen years. Last year the band reissued the “Smokin’ Delta Voodoo” album from 2000 and on 12th April their label HighVol Music released “Backtraxx – Reissue”. I was a bit slow picking up on the release, but I’ll be including the track “Southern Way” on the Friday NI Rocks Show next week.

On 1 June 2019, heavy metal band Fireland will release their new full-length studio album, entitled “Fireland IV: Forged In Fire”. This follows the release of the first track “Dragon Slayer” at the beginning of May. I’ll be featuring that track on the Friday NI Rocks Show next week. On Friday BLACK STAR RIDERS released the title track to their new album, “Another State of Grace” ahead of the band embarking on a huge UK and Irish tour this autumn. The band also revealed more details about the album which is now available to pre-order. Black Star Riders plays The Limelight in Belfast on 17th October. We'll be featuring the new single on the Friday NI Rocks Show next week!

When you see singer Steve Overland’s name attached to a band you know it’s going to worth checking out. That is certainly the case with the band Lonerider and their debut album “Attitude”, which was released on 26th April by Escape Music. The band also features drummer Simon Kirke, bass player Chris Childs and guitarist Steve Morris alongside Brian J Anthony. The track “Rhythm of Live” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 22nd March and “My Imagination” on 3rd May.
