“Losing Gravity” is the debut album from Finnish band Block Buster and it was released through Frontiers Music on 13th September. The band is part of Frontiers ‘New Breed’ roster, but in reality has been around for over ten years, developing their sound and expanding their fanbase. They actually opened for Bon Jovi in Helsinki back in 2011. I posted an interview with the band’s guitarist on the Rock Radio NI website this week and this covers the band’s history as well as the new album. The track “Move” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show in June and we’ll be featuring more tracks from the album soon.

As I’m sure I’ve said before, Mat Sinner is one of those musicians who always seems to be involved in something; be it with Sinner, Primal Fear, Rock Meets Classic or some other collaboration. This time, specifically, it’s the new Sinner album “Santa Muerte” which was released by AFM Records on 13th September. Sinner releases are always worth checking out and this one is even more note-worthy as it features the addition of Italian singer Giorgia Colleluori to the band as well as guest appearances from Ricky Warwick and Ronnie Romero. The track “Fiesta Y Copas” was featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show in July, followed by “Last Exit Hell” on 23rd August and “Death Letter” on 13th September.
Swedish band Crashdïet release their fifth album, “Rust”, through Frontiers Music on 13th September. The band formed initially in 2000 and has now released albums with four different lead vocalists; “Rust” being the first for new singer Gabriel Keyes. The track “Idiots” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show in June and the latest single “Rust” was on the Show on 6th September.
Finnish band Block Buster release their debut album “Losing Gravity” through Frontiers Music on 13th September. Frontiers are promoting Block Buster as part of their ‘New Breed’ roster, however I didn’t really know much about the band, so I arranged to get some questions answered by e-mail. The band line-up features brothers Aarni and Jaako Metsäpelto on lead vocals / guitar and drums respectively as well as lead guitarist Elias Salo and bass player Joonas Arppe. Elias answered a few questions about the band’s history and their new album.
