“The Sky is the Limit” is the second album from Norwegian band Stargazer and it was released on 11th October by Mighty Music. It has been almost ten years since the release of the band’s debut album and there have been some line-up changes over that period. The new album was produced by Soren Andersen (whose own solo album we published a recommendation for very recently). The track “The Sky is the Limit” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show back in July and “So Now You’re Leaving” was included on the Show on 27th September.

“Ten” is the latest album from Michael Sweet, the singer and guitarist best known for fronting Stryper. It was released on 11th October via Frontiers Music. The album title reflects it being Michael Sweet’s tenth ‘solo’ album, although two of those albums are actually Sweet & Lynch releases (with guitarist George Lynch). There are guest appearances on the album from Todd La Torre, Tracii Guns, Will Hunt, Joel Hoekstra, Jeff Loomis, Gus G and others. The track “Shine” was featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 6th September, followed by “Ten” on 27th September.
“This Is Hell” is the second album from British band Burnt Out Wreck and it was released on 11th October via Burnt Out Wreckords / Cherry Red. The band is fronted by Gary Moat who was the drummer in, and a founding member of, Heavy Pettin in the 80’s. Their debut album was released in 2017 and several tracks have been played on the Shows since then. “Dead or Alive” from the new album was featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 20th September.

“A New Evil” is the second album from The Ferrymen and it was released via Frontiers Music on 11th October. The band features singer Ronnie Romero, guitarist Magnus Karlsson and drummer Mike Terrana. Karlsson, who also wrote the tracks and plays bass and keyboards on the album as well as guitar, was my guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show last week, when we played four tracks from the album. The singles “A New Evil” and “Bring Me Home” had both been included on the Show previously as well.
