On 27th January, Frontiers Music released new albums from the front-men of two of the 80’s iconic rock bands. One was by former Ratt singer Stephen Pearcy; the other was from Jack Russell’s Great White. Both Ratt and Great White are bands that have suffered their fair share of internal disputes over the ownership of a name. “He Saw It Coming” is the debut release from Jack Russell’s Great White following a legal agreement in 2013 allowing Jack Russell to use that name whilst the other members continued as Great White. I played the track “Blame It On The Night” on the NI Rocks A-Z Show on 24th January, and then followed that up with “Sign of the Times” on the Show the following week.

Blaze Bayley releases a new album called “Endure and Survive” on 3rd March and kicked off a lengthy European tour in The Diamond Rock Club on 18th February. I spoke to the former Wolfsbane and Iron Maiden singer via Skype on 7th February – this 40 minute interview along with 3 tracks from his new album will be broadcast on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 3rd March. I played a shorter 13 minute version of the interview, plus a couple of tracks from Blaze’s previous release “Infinite Entanglement”, a Wolfsbane track and something from his Iron Maiden days on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 10th February.
The full interview is transcribed below.
