_{Almost two years since their rebranding and the release of a four track EP, local band Blackwater Conspiracy have released their long anticipated debut album “Shootin’ The Breeze”. The CD and digital versions of the album were released on 9th June with a vinyl release to follow on 7th July. I played “President Joe” and “Monday Club” on the Friday NI Rocks Show uploaded on 15th June, but the four tracks from the earlier EP have been on our playlists constantly for the past two years.}

_{Any album release that features singer Jorn Lande is always eagerly anticipated and this time that expectation was raised even further after checking out the list of musicians working on his latest project. Needless to say his latest offering once again lives up to expectation. Jorn’s album “Life on Death Road” was released via Frontiers Music on 2nd June. I included “Fire to the Sun” on the Friday NI Rocks Show uploaded on 24th May and “Hammered to the Cross (The Business)” on the Show uploaded on 8th June.}

_{Other than a few tracks on YouTube, I wasn’t that familiar with Canadian metal band Unleash The Archers until I checked out their latest album “Apex” which was released on 2nd June via Napalm Records. I was really impressed with what I heard and when the opportunity arose to record an interview with lead singer Brittney Slayes, I thought it’d be an excellent chance to find out more about the band and the album.  I spoke to Brittney via Skype on 15th June and you can hear what we chatted about, as well as four tracks from the new album on the Friday NI Rocks Show dated 23rd June.
