Two former Giuffria members, vocalist David Glen Eisley and guitarist Craig Goldy, have come together in a new project simply called Eisley / Goldy. They released their debut album “Blood, Guts and Games” through Frontiers Music on 1st December. The album delivers what you’d expect from these artists – ten quality, melodic / classic rock tracks. The lead-off track “The Heart is A Lonely Hunter” was featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 8th December.

“Life” is the new album from Swedish band JONO and it was released via Frontiers Music on 1st December. The band was initially started as a solo project by singer Johan Norrby but has evolved over the years and is notable for including Within Temptation’s Stefan Helleblad on guitar. JONO are a bit hard to label as far as genres go as they merge melodic, progressive and symphonic rock elements. There are a couple of tracks that don’t tick the box for me personally, but overall definitely an album worth checking out.
“Public Enemies” is the new album from 80’s glam metal rockers Pretty Boy Floyd and it was released on 1st December by Frontiers Music. I was never really a big fan of some of the glam metal bands that appeared in the late 80’s and early 90’s, and I wasn’t too sure what to expect from “Public Enemies”. The fact that I’m posting a recommendation should tell you that I liked what I heard and I’m pretty sure fans of the whole glam / sleaze genre will love it! I’ve included the track “Feel The Heat” on the Friday NI Rocks Show this week.

Swedish band Wildness released their excellent self-titled debut album through AOR Heaven on 24th November. This is one that fans of the melodic rock / AOR genre will want to check out. The band traces its roots back to 2013 and they released a couple of digital singles in 2015 / 2016 which led to them being signed to AOR Heaven for their first album. I played the opening track of the album, “War Inside My Head” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 1st December.
