I’ve been a huge fan of NWOBHM band Tygers of Pan Tang for many years and their early album were amongst my first vinyl purchases back in the early 80’s. In December the band will release “Hellbound Spellbound Live 1981” on vinyl and CD and I’ve already my order in! The recording was originally made by Chris Tsangarides at Nottingham Rock City, but it has now been remixed and remastered and will be released on 21st December via Mighty Music.
Details in the press release below.

It’s hard to believe that it’s very nearly four years since singer Jorn Lande and guitarist Trond Holter released the album “Swing of Death”, the rock opera concept album, based on the tales of Dracula. That was January 2015, and the subsequent success of the musical performance in theatres around Norway has led to a follow up album being released by the band Holter. The album “Vlad The Impaler” was released by Frontiers Music on 9th November. I’ve featured the first three singles on the Friday NI Rocks Show – “I’ll Die for You” on 12th Oct, “Worlds on Fire” on 19th Oct and “The Last Generation” on 16th Nov.
Last year Eden’s Curse released a re-recording of their self-titled debut album to mark the tenth anniversary of the original release. They’ve now released “Testament” which is a two disc album featuring their best tracks and a collection of bonus tracks. It also includes the new track “Forever” which was featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 9th November. The album was released via AFM Records on 2nd November.
