“The Last Hero” is the fifth album from Alter Bridge and it is released by Napalm Records on 7th October. I don’t imagine that Alter Bridge really need an album recommendation from me to boost their sales, but I’ve always said that these posts were an acknowledgement of the great music that we received at the station. On that basis leaving Alter Bridge out would be criminal; as “The Last Hero” is an absolutely fantastic album. Over the past few weeks I’ve played the singles “Show Me A Leader” and “My Champion” on the Friday NI Rocks Show. Both tracks also feature during an interview with singer Myles Kennedy provided courtesy of AC promotions which we broadcast on the Show on 7th October.

Following the release of the critically acclaimed album “Up” and the addition of British drummer Hayley Cramer to the lineup, Pop Evil have confirmed UK and European dates in November 2016. They also release the single “Take It All” on 4th November 2016

Australian band Black Aces have just kicked off the UK leg of the “Aussie Wrecking Crew Tour” with Massive and Tequila Mockingbyrd. Earlier this year they released their debut album “Shot In The Dark” and that album had a special European release on 30th September ahead of the UK tour. Fellow Aussies Airbourne have been singing the bands praises and it’s no surprise that Black Aces have been drawing comparisons with than band. I was a bit slow picking up on this release, but I’ll be including the track “Girl Like You” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 7th October.
